I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano (The Winegrowers of Santo Stefano) was established in 1976 thanks to a group of producers (Sergio Santi, the Scavino family and the Ceretto family) who, tired of the overly commercial and excessive production of low quality Asti wine, embraced the objective of recreating a model of quality around the image of the White Moscato grape. The first year's production was a mere 4,000 bottles of Moscato d'Asti, but the positive market response, which demanded at least three times that much, motivated the significant investments undertaken in the following years. We attribute our success to the quality of the product, but I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano remains a small company, extremely attentive to respecting the most traditional production techniques. Two different wines are produced: Moscato d'Asti and Asti Spumante.
