THE WINE CELLAR
The wine cellar Monchiero Carbone is situated in Canale, in the heart of Roero and commenced in 1990 with the objective of combining the vineyards owned by two branches of a family (Monchiero and Coal) with a wine-producing tradition that goes back to 1918. Today it is managed by husband and wife, Francis and Lucrezia Monchiero, specialists in the creation of Arneis from the best vineyards in the zone of Roero, as well as the red Barberas and Nebbiolo. On the label, as a constant memory of the traditions, appears a sentence in the local dialect "ogni uss l’ha so tanbuss" - "Every door has its leaf", a proverb that invites the visitors to knock on the door of the wine cellar to discover the unique style of the wines of Monchiero Carbone and the secrets of the wine cellar.
