THE WINE CELLAR

The hills laden with carefully aligned and thriving vines form a crown, on the hills that rise towards the town of Diano d’Alba (to the east) and on those that tend toward the commune of Sinio and the Alta Langa (to the south) or toward Serralunga d’Alba and the Barolo zone (toward the west). On this spectacular stage, dedicated to the vine, the Veglio Romano and Lorenzo winery was born at the end of the 1920s. It continued to grow and develop up until today with 20 hectares of land, of which 10 are planted to vines. The Dolcetto vine is still the main protagonist of the winery, confirming the strong link that this variety has always had with the Diano territory. Seventy percent of the vineyard is planted with Dolcetto; flanking these, space has been found for other traditional varieties such as Barbera, Freisa, Nebbiolo (red) and Arneis and Moscato (white).
