THE WINE CELLAR
Paitin Estate history started in 1796 when Benedetto Elia purchased the farmstead with its outlying wine cellar and vineyards. His son Giuseppe extended vineyards and acquired the underground cellar. In 1898, export overseas commenced, and since1893 Barbaresco del Sori Paitin has been produced. The estate started full operation in 1965 again with Secondo Pasquero-Elia, who built a new wine cellar, gradually replanted the vineyards and acquired new vines. At present Secondo Pasquero is working in the cellar together with his sons Giovanni and Silvano. In 1997 a new farmhouse was opened.
