THE WINE CELLAR
The Abrigo family has dedicated itself for generations to the cultivation of vines, passing the experience down from father to son. In 1988 Giovanni Abrigo, the son of Orlando, started to work with his father in the running of the family winery. Above all Giovanni is interested in technical improvement with the intention of personalising their wines. In addition he has expanded the area under vines with the purchase of land and vineyards. Today the Orlando Abrigo winery directly manages approximately 20 hectares of vines, destined, in part to the production of traditional wines such as Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba and in part to newer generation wines. In collaboration with his wife, Virna Borgogno, they also look after the VIRNA winery, in the Commune of Barolo, which is a specialist in the production of the famous Barolo wine.
