THE WINE CELLAR

Located at Cisterna d’Asti, between Monferrato and Roero, a land of castles and wine, “Tenuta La Pergola” welcomes you to the heart of the Alfieri wine region. Our philosophy originates from farming know-how and from respect for the seasonal cycles of nature. Nowadays modern technology is also used, but always safeguarding the uniqueness of the product, and its land. Every indigenous vine (barbera, nebbiolo, dolcetto, freisa, grignolino, bonarda, croattina, arneis and cortese) has its own peculiarities and is treated differently in pruning, in the selection of the bunches, in the leaf thining and in the harvest. This detailed and individual care can, perhaps, only be carried out by the producer, who knows all the history of the vines. This traditional care in all the phases of work around the vineyard is also applied in the winery. The most appropriate method of vinification is sought for each type of grape. The wine must be the best possible result, in accordance with the territorial characteristics of the grapes that make it up. For this reason, our production is limited and varies according to the season.
