The winery EREDE DI CHIAPPONE ARMANDO owes its name to its founder Armando, from the class of 1908, he was a forward looking man of great capacity. In his memory it was decided to maintain the name Armando. In fact together with his brother Cesare, he understood the importance of owning their own vines to be able to produce the best wines. Row after row the winery grew, and is currently under the guidance of son, Franco. From the early days of the 1900s the wine produced is of the highest significance and of exceptional character. These days, after three generations, the baton has been passed on to Armando’s grandson, Daniele the enologist. Daniele with his father and mother, Diliana and his sister, Michela directly manage the 10 hectares of vines. The vineyard is located around “CASCINA SAN MICHELE”, an old village that sits on the top of San Michele hill, where the bell tower of the old Pieve (church) also stands prominently. The winery’s desire is to produce typical wines of the territory of the highest quality and character.
