THE WINE CELLAR
In 1968 the business reached a turning point, because of that year’s infamous hailstorm, my father started to make wine with moscato grapes, which was a very challenging and laborious task when you consider what equipment was available at the time. The must obtained from the hand-pressed grapes was filtered with the famous Holland filter bags, after clarification: a slow process that would require changing and washing the filters strictly by hand and quite often. Bear in mind that moscato production has to be completed in the first 24 hours. Good results were quickly achieved and the desire to expand the estate grows.
Piero Bussi gradually became more and more involved in the enterprise, which today owns an 11-hectare vineyard, investing in product quality from the vines to the cellar. And the story continues with Bussi Federico at the helm since 2012. We produce Piedmont typical wines, more specifically those from Asti, using only grapes from our estate and processed directly by us. Through our dedicated work, we make a large variety of red and white wines.
