THE WINE CELLAR
Behind the relaunching of Selectvini S.R.L. - the company consisting of two historical marks of the enological tradition of Asti i.e. 'CASA VINICOLA LUIGI PISTONE" established in Asti  in 1860 and "'CASA VINICOLA  CORTESE" established in Canelli in 1875 - and "CAVALIER DARIO" established in San Marzano Oliveto in 1968, there is a young manager, Roberto Bersano, born in 1974, already working in the family company. The challenge was to continue those important enological legacies producing excellent and genuine wines according to the tradition of Piedmont without forgetting the trends of the market, yet pursuing the commercial success of the products supported by a strong familiar underground and the link with the local winemaking system. The guideline of the company is to keep the rationality of the manager separate from the organization of the cellar where the unchanged rules of the enology are still valid and applied with the aid of modern technology to produce prestigious wine from selected grapes.
