The Cantina Sociale di Castagnole Monferrato was founded in 1954 on the initiative of more than two hundred wine growers in the area. It has established itself as one of the most qualified and significant associations of Monferrato, an area famous for ancient traditions and the excellent quality of the wines produced. The Cantina Sociale di Castagnole Monferrato produces wines typical of the area: Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Barbera del Monferrato DOC, Grignolino d'Asti DOC and Ruchè of Castagnole Monferrato DOCG. The latter, from curious rarity, has became a product of great value to the point that in 2010 it received recognition of the DOCG. As a result the number of consumers and admirers of this product has since grown around the world, becoming the top product of the cellar. The Cantina Sociale has a shop where you can taste and purchase the wines produced.
