THE WINE CELLAR

Forteto della Luja winery’s current owner, after 7 generations, is Giancarlo Scaglione. It is a small and quaint property of just over 16 hectares of which about 7 hectares are vineyards and the rest is forest. It is located in the municipality of Loazzolo with a beautiful panoramic view of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero. The vineyards are very old, some over seventy years, and suited to the production of high quality wines, late harvest and “vini da meditazione” (fine “after dinner” desert wines and digestives). Even the buildings and part of the basement are very old and date back to the late 1700s. Agricultural activity is certified organic.
