THE WINE CELLAR
Cascina Galarin is located in Castagnole delle Lanze, between Langhe and Monferrato, in Piedmont. Our history begins toward the end of the 1700s, when our ancestors arrived in the village, building the house and the first part of the underground cellar. On the main door they inlayed a rooster, today used as logo. Toward the end of the 1980s, Giuseppe Carosso arrived at the winery and revolutionised the philosophy of management of vineyards and began to bottle the estate’s own wine, until then sold in bulk. Thanks to the meticulous care of the vines and to correct work in the cellar, we try to produce natural wines that reflect the terroir, giving them the correct time to mature before being bottled. Today the method of cultivation is biological and from the 2016 vintage we will receive organic certification. Recently Giuseppe’s children, Marco and Giovanni, started in the winery, with the intent of continuing the 200 year old story.
