THE WINE CELLAR
Giacomo Sarotto, began making his own wine and, with the help of his son Giovanni and later his grandson Luigi Giovanni, the business underwent expansion from 1870 to 1930-40. From 1950 Luigi Giovanni's son, Angelo, continued working the vineyards, but the grapes were sold to dealers until the early 1980's, when Angelo's son, Roberto, graduated from the local wine-making school. Today, the estates stretching over 50 hectares of vineyards located in some of the best wine producing areas of Piedmont in: Barolo, Barbaresco, Neviglie e Gavi. Roberto over-looks all of the Estate and the wine production, from the wine making to the jobs in the field. One of their main priorities is the attention given to the tending of the vineyards, as they firmly believe that good wine grows in the vineyard and develops in the cellar.
