The Muggianu estate was born in 1999 when Andrew the owner, decided to devote his life to the countryside, because a few years before, in 1996, his father Antonio had planted 400 olive trees in his native country, Lotzorai, which is located in the province of Ogliastra in Sardinia. The production of Sardinian oil with the passing of years has increased and so the small "family" production has become a real business, even planting a new grove in Sardinia and another more experimental one in Monforte d'Alba in Piedmont. The company headquarters is in fact in Monforte d'Alba, where a small vineyard of Nebbiolo is cultivated for making Barolo and olives destined to Olives in Brine. In addition to extra virgin olive oil that has been produced for 15 years, in 2014 the production of red wine commenced with grapes of Barbera d'Alba DOC, grown from the vineyard located in the locality of Montagliarotto in Monforte d 'Alba. In 2014 also our new corporate logo was launched that combines with an "M" the olive and the vine. The products available at the winery are: extra virgin olive oil, Barbera d'Alba DOC, pickled olives and tomato paste.
