THE WINE CELLAR
Many documents prove that the Povero family has worked in vine growing for many generations. In 1964 this heritage was pursued by brothers Giovanni and Michelino, who, encouraged by the very good quality of that harvest, set out to bottle their own wine and estabilished the Cantine Povero. The high quality of their production and professional ability allowed to a rapid development of their activity so that in 1976 Cantine Povero had to move in a new and bigger building, located in Cisterna d’Asti (San Matteo). Today there are 5 brothers and sisters carrying on the great legacy of high quality wine production for this historic Piemonte family.
