THE WINE CELLAR

The Clavesana co-operative was founded in 1959 by 32 founding father and it’s grow up to 260 grower. The co-operative is located in the southern part of Piedmont in a hilly region called Langhe, an UNESCO World heritage site. The 80% of the co-operative production is composed by the Dolcetto in all its different declinations from Dogliani DOCG to Langhe Dolcetto DOC. The remaining part of the production is composed by other important DOCG and DOC like Barbera, Nebbiolo, Barolo, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Cantina Clavesana believes in the social role of the cooperative and it has recently renovated an old elementary school in a place called “Surie” (that literally means: exposed to the sun. This meaning indicates the fact that the place is very sunny and perfect for the growth of the vine) surrounded by vineyards. In this location the firm constantly organises events with the aim of increase the knowledge of the Langhe, the story and the unbelievable goodness of its food and wine.
