A HISTORY OF 120 YEARS
Carlo Bocchino, the distillery's founder, sensed that the essence of his Grappa, was hidden in the mysterious alchemy that only time and the very finest wood could provide. That Grappa, which flowered pure and adamantine, was for many seasons left to rest in a dark corner of the wine cellars in Canelli, to develop the aromatic notes and the humours that made it unique and inimitable. In the silence of the centuries-old cellars of Cantine Bocchino, dug into the porous limestone of the hillside of Canelli, row upon row of barrique exhale to the sky “the angels' share”, the pure aroma of the “water of life”. Today, as in the past, it is in these cellars that one must look at to find the secret of our distillates.
