It was 1930 when Carlo Annibale Cravanzola started his business in Castellinaldo to grow vineyards and make wine. Today, the new generations are carrying on his work with the same passion. The cellar’s extensive and technically well-equipped premises are located in the heart of the village in Schiavenza farmhouse . Also the vineyards are located in Castellinaldo, scattered here and there over the hills and grown with enthusiasm and precision. Depending on their position, all planted in prime sites recognized for the growing of the different grapes varieties, the vineyards give birth each year to grapes and wines with highly-prized, original and well-defined characteristics. In Campiano site, the vineyards have a western exposure: here the Arneis and Nebbiolo varieties prevail. On the opposite slope, there is the majestic San Pietro hill: a long, steep hillside planted with Nebbiolo, Arneis and Barbera. Finally, climbing up to the north-east beyond the village, the great hill named Bricco del Conte stands fiercely in the sun. Here the finest slopes are planted with Barbera, Nebbiolo and Favorita grapes.
