THE WINE CELLAR

To meet the Gaslini Alberti family is to encounter one of the grand families of Italian wine. First Tuscany and then the rest of Italy can mark the date when quality became the guiding principle for the country's wines: from the late 1970's on. This objective had been in force at the Badia di Morrona ever since 1939, a fact which demonstrates both farsightedness and an awareness of the potential of this territory wich arrived well in advance of others. The purchase of the Poderi dei Bricchi Astigiani vineyards at the end of the 1990's is yet another sign of passion for wine, a sentiment which could not refuse the challenge of an estate in Piedmont, in one of the finest sub-zones of the Asti province. Here as well, just as in Tuscany, the Gaslini Alberti family has decided to respect the historic tradition of the territory with special efforts for Barbera.
