Description
Cortese dell'Alto Monferrato, among the most appreciated white wines by connoisseurs, is obtained from grapes of the vine grown on the hills of Monferrato, in the provinces of Asti and Alessandria. It is also produced in the frizzante, natural and sparkling varieties.

Production regulations: D.M. June 26 1992.
Grape variety: Cortese from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Colour: Light straw, sometimes tending to greenish.
Bouquet: distinctive, delicate, very subtle but persistent.
Taste: dry, harmonious, savoury, pleasantly bitter.
Minimum alcohol content: 10% vol.
