Description
Produced in the hilly region around Asti from Grignolino grapes alone or with the addition of Freisa (in percentages of no more than 10%), this table wine, to be consumed preferably young, has been produced in the Asti area since before the eighteenth century.

Grape variety: Grignolino from the 90% to 100%; Freisa from 0% to 10%.
Colour: ruby red more or less intense, that turns to orange with the ageing.
Bouquet: characteristic, delicate.
Taste: dry, slightly tannic, pleasantly bitter with a persistent aftertaste.
Minimum alcohol content: 11% vol.

Grignolino d'Asti, a table wine, prefers aperitifs, white meat and fried dishes. We also suggest trying it with fish courses. Serve at a temperature of about 18 °C (15 °C when paired with fish).
